Umbrella-cloaked thief nabbed for stealing laptop in China
In a bizarre turn of events, the Police station of Chengdu Chenghua Public Security Bureau in southern China received a report on the morning of September 5, alleging the theft of a laptop computer from a local company. The substation immediately collaborated with the district's Intelligence and Command Center to launch an investigation.
Surveillance footage from the building's security cameras revealed an unusual sight at around 8 pm on September 4. What initially appeared to be a floating red umbrella mysteriously "drifting" past the company's entrance was, upon closer inspection, revealed to be a person crouching and walking under the umbrella's cover, wearing gray thick-soled slippers.
Through meticulous investigation, police swiftly identified the suspect as Jia XX. Just 24 hours later, on the evening of September 5, the Intelligence and Command Center, in conjunction with the Shuangshuiyan Police Substation, apprehended Jia XX in an internet café. Facing the evidence, Jia XX confessed to his criminal act without hesitation.
The case is currently under further investigation and processing.
