Senior leaders and key members of all institutions of Cote d'Ivoire's ruling party, the Rally of Houphouetists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP), gathered in Abidjan on Monday, in preparation for the presidential election in October 2025.
Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara attended the meeting and held cordial talks with senior party officials.

"Regarding the ongoing operations on the ground, the chairman of the board indicated that 1,140,021 activists have been registered in the RHDP e-militant database. In addition, the Party is actively preparing for the start of the electoral list revision operation set for October 19 by the government. The RHDP has set a target of 1,200,000 potential first-time voters to register on the electoral list."
