This is the bizarre moment a driver continues on the road with the bonnet open, obstructing their view.

The incident was seen on the Changshen Expressway in Changzhou City, Jiangsu province, on October 3.

Footage from a passing vehicle shows the car speeding down the emergency lane with its engine hood flipped up.

The observer noted that visibility was severely obstructed, and despite the car's hazard lights being activated, it showed no signs of slowing down.

It is believed that the bonnet latch broke, and instead of attempting to secure it or drive more cautiously, the driver seemingly tried to peer through the narrow gap between the open bonnet and the engine to ensure there was nothing obstructing the way.
