China - October 15, 2024

In a harrowing incident in Yanqing, Beijing, a man narrowly escaped with his life after his vehicle plunged into a construction pit. The car ended up upside down approximately 5 meters below ground, with the fuel tank leaking, adding urgency to the rescue operation.

According to reports from @BeijingFire, upon receiving the emergency call, firefighters rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they communicated with the trapped driver, confirming he was conscious but in need of immediate assistance. With soothing words to keep the man calm, the firefighters used specialized extraction tools to carefully extract him from the vehicle.

The rescue was conducted with caution due to the oil leak, which posed a risk of fire or explosion. Once freed, the driver was swiftly moved to a safe zone and handed over to paramedics from the 120 emergency service, who then transported him to the hospital for treatment.
