STORYLINE:

While acknowledging the great potential of AI, the editor-in-chief of the Indonesian daily Pikiran Rakyat expressed concerns over data ethics.

"AI has been present before our eyes since the end of 2023 and is now increasingly massive. 
This means that we have no choice but to take advantage of AI, because it can offer great potential, including us in the media. 
In addition to increasing efficiency and productivity, it also helps us in finding other information. 
For the media, we are still trying to grasp to what extent AI is used by us, because there is concern that it will backfire when we use other people's products from the patent side. It also becomes a challenge to encourage our innovation, especially in the context of digital content, it really helps us in curating data."
