Footage shows the GERA rescuers in V-990 helicopters from Bombers Valencia. Upon disembarking from the aircraft, they waded through the floodwaters to reach a vehicle trapped in the deluge and rescued its driver in Alzira, on October 29.

They also assisted another distressed motorist.

Torrential rains from a cold front in the country's southeast flooded roads and towns on Tuesday.

The State Meteorological Agency issued a red alert for the eastern Valencia region, with areas like Turis and Utiel recording 200 mm (7.9 inches) of rainfall.

Officials reported that at least seven people were missing—a truck driver in the Valencia region and six individuals in the town of Letur in the eastern province of Albacete.
