This is the hilarious moment a student looked terrified of a saucepan while attempting to cook for the first time.

The inexperienced woman struggled to prepare a meal in the kitchen of the student halls at her university in Guangdong, China, on August 11.

Footage shows her holding a bowl of chopped vegetables, hesitantly preparing to pour them into the heated oil.

As soon as she tossed in the ingredients, she immediately jumped back to dodge the oil splatters.

Her amused roommate laughed while recording her. They explained that it was her friend's first time living away from home and her first attempt at cooking for herself - a feat many youngsters struggle with upon entering higher education.
