United States - October 29, 2024 The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is urging drivers to exercise caution as smoke and dust reduce visibility across several parts of the state. A video from Trooper Kyle Rosine #523 in Grant County on Highway 64, just west of US 81, highlights the dangers posed by high winds that are stirring up dust. In a recent incident, Trooper Rosine responded to a crash involving two semis. One truck was traveling slowly due to the poor visibility when it was rear-ended by another vehicle, leading to a chain reaction involving two additional cars. Authorities stress the importance of vigilance on the roads as these hazardous conditions persist.
