Footage shows police reinforcing the station's glass doors and walls as Typhoon Yinxing pummelled through Cagayan province, the Philippines, where it made landfall today, November 7.

Typhoon Yinxing, locally named Marce, is the 13th storm to enter the archipelago this year when it moved over the Philippine Sea on Monday, November 4.

It intensified from a tropical storm into a typhoon, moving westward at 10km per hour, triggering thousands of evacuations.

Yinxing is expected to exit the country by November 9, heading towards the South China Sea into central Vietnam.
