STORYLINE:
The month-long Autumn Flower edition of the International Flower Expo 2024 concluded on Sunday in Cairo.
The event, which opened at the El-Horreya Garden (Freedom Garden) on Oct. 10, served as a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy the beauty of nature and learn about the latest innovations in agriculture and gardening.
SOUNDBITE (Arabic): JASSER, Exhibitor
"I gained experience over 25 years, dealing with all types of plants, starting with cuttings and seeds. My experience grew with time and I started participating in the flower exhibition. I am one of the exhibitors, exhibiting a group of cacti, which is a specialty that I am passionate about and love. I also exhibited some medicinal and aromatic plants such as mint, basil, thyme, and jasmine. As a designer and sculptor, I wanted to use tree branches, wood, and some pieces of rock to make some products that serve plants and agriculture."
The expo has a history of over 90 years. It is held twice a year. The Spring Flower edition occurs in May.
