Rescue teams in Spain continue to search for missing locals after the DANA storm struck on October 29.

UME and Guardia Civil's GEAS specialists are seen in the video combing through flooded parts of Albufera on November 11.

Spain's state weather agency issued an urgent warning at 12:05 pm on Monday, November 11, forecasting heavy to torrential rainfall across Spain and the Balearic Islands from Tuesday until at least Saturday with a probability of over 70 per cent.

The weather phenomenon, known as an isolated cold low, is expected to intensify, particularly in the provinces of Malaga and Granada.

Officials have reported at least 217 fatalities from the DANA storm that hit Valencia.

The destructive weather system occurs when cold and warm air converge to create rain clouds. This event is thought to be becoming more common due to climate change.
