On January 10th in Heyuan, Guangdong, a moving crane's hook suddenly malfunctioned and swung out of control, striking a passerby who was unable to avoid it. The hook lifted the man into the air, causing a leg injury.

Surveillance footage from the scene shows the crane's hook swinging violently to the side, unexpectedly hooking a nearby pedestrian. Although the man quickly turned to dodge, the hook moved too fast, and he was caught and lifted off the ground. Witnesses report that the man landed hard on his leg, causing him to fall to the ground.

Local authorities have confirmed that the man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his leg injury. The exact cause of the incident is still under investigation.
