Secondary roads were flooded following the impact of the new DANA storm in Malaga, Spain.

Authorities reported that seven major routes were closed due to the deluge and overflowing rivers.

Footage shows floodwaters inundating roads, with an official signaling to an approaching motorist on November 14.

On Wednesday, severe thunderstorms and torrential rain from a new DANA once again struck coastal Spain, causing damage but no casualties - just two weeks after the deadly flash floods that had wreaked havoc in Valencia.

Officials have confirmed at least 217 fatalities from the destructive weather system that struck on October 29.

The DANA occurs when cold and warm air masses converge to form rain clouds. This type of extreme weather is believed to be becoming more frequent due to climate change.
