Beirut, Lebanon - Recent The death toll from Israeli attacks on Lebanon in the latest round of Israel-Hezbollah conflict that broke out on Oct 8, 2023 climbed to 3,558, with injuries rising to 15,123, said Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday. Over the past day, 14 people were killed and 87 were injured in the conflict, the ministry reported. Lebanon's National News Agency reported on Wednesday that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched shelling and airstrikes on multiple locations in southern Lebanon that day. The IDF said on Wednesday that over the previous 24 hours, it had targeted more than 100 Hezbollah positions, including rocket launchers, weapons storage facilities, command centers, and military structures. Additionally, the Israeli military stated on the day that its air force killed a Hezbollah anti-tank unit commander and an operations unit commander during an airstrike on Sunday.
