STORYLINE:

Visitors to the Madrid Zoo Aquarium highlighted panda's unique charm and cultural significance in the China-Spain culture exchange.

Pandas Jin Xi and Zhu Yu, both born in 2020, arrived in Madrid in April this year, following the renewal of an agreement for giant panda protection with the China Wildlife Conservation Association. They are set to remain in Spain for the next 10 years.

"They are very entertaining animals. They have some actions that other animals don't. They like playing a lot, and it's really interesting to observe them. There's always been interaction between China and Spain when it comes to pandas. Ever since I became aware of this animal, there have always been cultural exchanges."

They can always catch our attention, because of their colors, and the way they eat, etc. Through animals, we can better connect with nature, and we also become closer as countries, even though geographically we are very far apart. So, collaborations like this are great."
