Moody camel carrying tourists decides to sit down for a rest
A moody camel carrying tourists decided to sit down for a rest in the middle of a desert tour.
The dromedary was taking the visitors around Sharjah when it slumped down on the sand in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 20.
Amusing footage shows the seemingly bored animal kneeling on its front limbs first and then its hind legs.
It plopped on its stomach shaking the couple seated on its back while their guide held its rein securely.
Tourist Khameel Sanglay said: 'It was a remarkable experience but the camel assigned to us likes to chill most of the time.'
More tourists riding the backs of camels were also around for the tour as they took selfies when the animals stopped.
Camel riding in Sharjah typically involves a short ride through the expansive desert, lasting 20 minutes to an hour, depending on the package.
The video evokes Rudyard Kipling's poem 'How the Camel Got His Hump'. It is a whimsical tale that explains, in a fictional and humorous way, why camels have humps.
