A tourist was injured after falling off an out-of-control camel in a scenic area in northwestern China.

Video footage filmed in Dunhuang City in Gansu Province on August 20, shows a rider desperately clutching the reins and screaming, but despite her efforts, she was unable to maintain her balance and fell.

After the fall, the rider held her lower back, appearing injured, and did not immediately stand up.

The incident occurred while a group of tourists was riding camels to experience the desert scenery. During the ride, one camel abruptly became uncontrollable, rearing and bouncing, which led to the rider falling to the ground.

Following the incident, the scenic area’s staff quickly activated emergency procedures. Medical personnel arrived promptly to assess and treat the injured tourist, who was found to have minor soft tissue bruising with no serious harm.

After receiving initial treatment, the tourist and her companions resumed their visit to the site.

The scenic area stated that the incident was caused by the camel being startled.
