Foolish tourist gets the hump after he falls off while riding one-handed
This is the shocking moment a foolish tourist was thrown off a camel after attempting to ride one-handed.
Footage shows the holidaymaker holding a monopod to take a selfie while riding the dromedary at Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Lake in Gansu, China.
Moments later, he lost his balance mid-ride when his hand slipped from the handle on August 22.
This caused him to tumble sideways to the ground.
The tourist later said: 'The camels are particularly irritable, and the scenic area shouldn't be using unstable camels to carry people.'
Medical staff immediately examined him, and he was found to have a bruised knee, which was treated.
A spokesman for the Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Lake scenic area said: 'Camel riding has safety precautions, and taking photos while riding is prohibited. The tourist did not hold on tightly because he was filming, which is why he fell.'
Camel rides at the site remain a core attraction, drawing thousands of visitors daily during peak season, with each camel making up to three trips per day.
