A Bell 212 helicopter from No. 7 Squadron was deployed to the Ampara region, where it successfully rescued a civilian in distress from Maylawattawan, Eravur. The operation, conducted on Novemeber 17, saw the SLAF helicopter airlifting the individual to safety at the SLAF Batticaloa base. This swift response highlights the Air Force’s ongoing commitment to providing critical support during adverse weather conditions, ensuring the safety and well-being of affected civilians.
