According to Afghan military sources, armored vehicles, artillery units, and additional troops have been dispatched to key positions along the Nangarhar and Kunar provinces, where heavy exchanges of fire with Pakistani forces have been reported. The move comes after Kabul accused Islamabad of conducting airstrikes inside Afghan territory, including in the capital, Kabul, which Pakistan has not publicly confirmed. In response, Afghan forces launched retaliatory attacks on Pakistani army outposts along the frontier.
