China - November 29, 2024 China remains world's top producer of aquatic products (Voice_over) China remains the world's top producer of aquatic products, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said recently. According to data from the ministry, the country's total aquacultural output topped 71 million tons last year, ranking it the world's largest aquatic product producer for the past 35 years straight. Ministry officials said going forward, they plan to develop additional onshore and offshore fishing projects, and to strengthen the fishing industry's resources and safety standards.
