STORYLINE:

The 26th China (Hainan) International Tropical Agricultural Products Winter Fair is held from Dec. 14 to 17 in Haikou, south China's Hainan Province.

Exhibits of the event mainly include fruits and vegetables, grain and oil, and aquatic products.

Some international exhibitors at the fair have expressed their eagerness to expand their products into the Chinese market.

SOUNDBITE 1 (English): HENRY ROBERTSON, Australian Exhibitor
"It's enormous, but I think we as a country in Australia, we need to understand a lot more about the consumer market. The quality expectation is extremely high. So we need to truly understand that and make sure our marketing and our quality is at the highest level to satisfy the Chinese consumer. So we are here today to learn more about that, and how we can improve and satisfy their demand even more."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): MUHAMMAD WAQAS, Pakistani Exhibitor
"We have different bars, we have green tea, and we also have some rice, and cookies. We have different kinds of products from Pakistan. So, we are looking forward that we have retail customers as well as we also get some wholesale customers. We want some dealers to buy from us and then they introduce (our products) in the Chinese market."
