Corgis, their owners from all over the world, and other dog lovers took part in a Christmas jumper parade, as the pooches wore festive costume on their stroll through the Mall, past Buckingham Palace and onto the Albert Hall yesterday on December 7.

Undeterred by the elements, they took an alternative route around the Royal Parks which remained closed on Saturday as Storm Darragh rages in the South West of the country, and Wales.

Fewer participants due to the soggy conditions turned up as a result this year, but festive joy was not in short supply with the dogs wearing red coats, reindeer antler headbands - and one dog even wore a small figure of Father Christmas on his back.
