Fascinating single-sheet hyperboloid model demonstrated in China
On December 10, 2024, in Guangdong, located in southern China, a video captured a vivid demonstration of the single-sheet hyperboloid model.
The presenter used a straight rod to illustrate how it could ingeniously pass through a narrow hyperbolic slit, showcasing the wonders of geometry.
As the rod rotated, it traced a three-dimensional shape called the hyperboloid surface. The curved edges of this surface formed hyperbolic lines, enabling the rod to glide effortlessly from top to bottom through the structure.
