The annual cargo throughput at Qinzhou Port in southwest China's Guangxi surpassed 200 million tonnes for the first time on Friday morning.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the port's opening.

Its cargo throughput was just 122,000 tonnes in 1994. The figure grew to over 10 million tonnes in 2007, surpassed 100 million tonnes in 2018, and now exceeds 200 million tonnes in 2024, marking a historic leap in development.

Qinzhou Port is China's gateway port to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

In recent years, the port has accelerated infrastructure development and actively supported regional economic growth.
