Child cuber achieves near-impossible: 1.4-second solve at competition event
This is the breathtaking moment that a 9-year-old boy, named Hu Ruocheng, instantly solved a Rubik’s Cube in just 1.4 seconds at the China Youth Rubik’s Cube Challenge, leaving spectators and judges in awe.
On December 18, 2024, in Loudi, Hunan, the video showcased the boy's exceptional talent as he competed against other skilled participants.
His quick fingers fluently manipulated the cube, achieving what seemed like an impossible feat in a mere moment.
The judges barely had time to register the completion as they watched in stunned silence. This performance secured him the third place in the competition.
Hu Ruocheng had been a notable figure in the cubing community, having previously set a world record in July 2022 by solving the ball-shaped twisty puzzle in 1.467 seconds.
The event concluded with Hu securing a commendable third position, setting him up as a role model for aspiring cubers across the globe.
