Gaza - December 30, 2024 Storyline: The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 45,541, with an additional 108,338 injured, the Gaza-based health authorities said in a statement on Monday. In the past 24 hours, at least 27 were killed and 149 others were injured in Gaza, according to the statement. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said on Monday that dozens of Hamas militants were killed in overnight ambushes in north Gaza's Jabalia, according to the Times of Israel. The IDF said troops of the 401st Armored Brigade and other units launched this operation. The Israeli military said on Monday that its Air Force intercepted two rockets from northern Gaza in the evening, adding the rocket attack activated air raid sirens in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported in the incidents, according to Israel's Magen David Adom emergency service. It marked the third consecutive day of rocket fire from the Palestinian enclave toward Israel.
