A mouse found its way into a family's chocolate stash and nibbled through a box of Celebrations.

Ella Rose Neville, 24, went to open to the chocolate bag on Christmas Day when she found a hole on the side.

Ella initially blamed her dad before realising the real culprit was a rodent after spotting the shredded packaging in the bag.

The family opened the box and were shocked to find the dead mouse inside.

The rodent had chewed through the plastic box and nibbled on three Snickers and two Milky Way bars.

Ella, who works in marketing in London, said: "We thought it was funny at first and blamed my dad because he's known for sneaking chocolates."

"But when we saw the damage, we realized it was a mouse. "

"It even left red shavings from the box in the bag."

"It ate about three Snickers and two Milky Ways. It clearly had good taste." "

The family decided to throw away the chocolates, worried they could be contaminated.

Ella said: "There were droppings and possibly wee so we weren't going to risk it."
