Chinese woman discovers hidden rodent gourmet stash in office wall
A woman discovered a mouse's hidden storage after detecting a foul smell and smashed the wall in her office in eastern China.
The video was filmed in the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province on October 11.
A baffling stench and a seemingly unending swarm of flies around a particular office wall left Ms Liu perplexed. Believing the source of the odour to be a decaying mouse, she decided to smash the wall open.
Liu discovered a cache of peanuts and nuts. However, as she dug deeper, there was even more astonishment in store. Tucked further inside were various kinds of seafood, utterly unexpected within an office setting.
Connecting the dots, Liu deduced that the neighbouring convenience store could be the source of the peanuts. The seafood, she believes, was pilfered from nearby restaurants by the pesky rodents, making her office wall their food stash hub.
The wall has since been repaired and refilled.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
