Oil tanker overturns towards oncoming cars before bursting into flames
This is the shocking moment an oil tanker overturned - hurtling towards oncoming cars before bursting into flames.
Dashcam footage shows the lorry veering onto the opposite road, ramming into and crashing a black sedan in the middle of the highway.
Upon impact, passing motorists immediately stepped out of their vehicles to check on the people inside the car in Pasir Penambang, Malaysia, on January 6.
Moments later, the tanker burst into flames, emitting thick black smoke billowing into the air. Seven of those inside the vehicles were reportedly injured, with three of them killed in the fiery accident
The Kuala Selangor Fire and Rescue Station deployed eight members and officers to the scene to rescue the victims trapped in the vehicle.
Department Operations Division Assistant Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said there were seven victims aged between three and 68 years old.
Officer Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said: 'The fire involved three vehicles, including one palm oil tanker truck that was 80 per cent burned.
'The tanker truck driver suffered head and neck injuries, while the two adult men driving the MPV suffered minor injuries. A woman, a boy, and a girl in the vehicle survived.
'The Proton Saga driver sustained head and body injuries, and all injured victims were rushed to Tanjung Karang Regional Hospital for further treatment,' he added.
The other two vehicles involved were a Toyota Alphard multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), which was 20 per cent burned, and a Proton Saga car, which was 90 per cent burned.
