Chinese man feeds grass to farmed locusts
On December 28, 2024, in Yunnan, located in southwestern China, a video captured a man tending to a unique locust farming setup. Dressed in black, he entered a sunlit greenhouse teeming with locusts.
Carrying a basket filled with long, green grass, he methodically fed the insects their meal. These locusts are reportedly raised for consumption, a practice unfamiliar to many.
The video quickly gained attention online, with viewers expressing surprise and curiosity. One commenter remarked, “Lived all these years, and this is my first time seeing locust farming!”
