China: 400-Pound Cow Nearly Wins Tug-of-War Against 20 Rescuers After Falling Into 7-Meter Pit
Zunyi, China - January 11, 2025 Note: Royalty free music A 400-pound cow in Zunyi, Guizhou, became an unlikely participant in a tug-of-war against nearly 20 rescuers after it fell into a 7-meter deep pit while wandering off to graze. The cow, which had "run away" from its owner, was discovered stuck at the bottom of the pit, unable to climb out. The owner tried to rescue it but was unable to make progress. When local firefighters arrived on the scene, one rescuer descended into the pit to secure the cow, while others pulled tirelessly from above. After considerable effort, the team successfully rescued the cow. Despite the cow's initial resistance, the fire department described the rescue as a battle of strength, with the cow practically engaging in a tug-of-war against the combined efforts of the rescue team.
