Each bear displayed a unique reaction to the frozen lake. Some appeared baffled, cautiously testing the slippery surface with their noses and paws. Others embraced the unfamiliar sensation, rolling around playfully on the ice. The frozen terrain also became an unexpected stage for playful sparring, as the young bears took advantage of their opponents' unsteady footing to engage in lighthearted tussles. While the freezing weather has posed challenges for many, it’s heartening to see Phoenix and her cubs finding joy in the icy landscape, reminding us all to appreciate the beauty of nature even during the coldest days.
