On December 15, 2024, in Ningde, Fujian, the video captured an octopus, its color almost indistinguishable from the surrounding mud, as it delicately maneuvered its tentacles into a tiny hole.
Gradually, it pulled the rest of its body, including its large head, into the confined space, demonstrating its natural adaptability to enclosed environments.
The video concluded with the octopus fully ensconced in its den, safe from potential predators and environmental elements.
