iPhone user goes on rampage over forgotten Apple ID password
This is the shocking moment an iPhone user went on a rampage - because he forgot his Apple ID password.
The customer, Kirin, 26, became frustrated while having his handset repaired at a service centre at a shopping mall in Khon Kaen province on February 8.
Staff told him they needed his Apple ID password to open the phone, which he could not remember. With Kirin unable to remember his code, he threw an epic password rage tantrum.
CCTV footage shows Kirin slamming his hands on the counter, jolting the staff and other customers. He then stormed outside and continued his outburst, screaming as he toppled shopping carts and stomped down an escalator.
Kirin was said to have damaged several motorcycles in a nearby car park before he was wrestled to the ground by police at around 6:30 pm.
He allegedly resisted arrest but was subdued and dragged to the police station for questioning.
Kirin's younger brother later wrote online to apologise to the mall staff and shoppers for his actions.
A police spokesman said: 'Later, his relatives called to ask for help in sending him to the Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital for treatment.
'They wanted him to be taken to the hospital first. The police would like to warn the public that if they see anyone with mental illness or risky behaviour, they should notify the officers to help before a more serious incident occurs.'
The Apple ID is often needed to access products, repairs or solve software issues.
