This is the adorable moment a pet cat helped his owner sell lottery tickets in Thailand.

The ginger moggie named Som Bang Chak manned the makeshift ticket counter at a petrol station in Pattaya.

Footage shows the feline vendor grooming himself as he lounged on a chair next to stacks of old lottery tickets.

Nearby, a sign read: ‘My name is Som Bang Chak. I'm a stray cat at the gas station, but everyone here loves and cares for me. They give me food and water every day.

‘If you feel a connection with me, you can leave some dry food or wet food for me at the store. Thank you.'

Thanathip Rattanapanya, the cat's caretaker, said he rescued Som Bang Chak two years ago, treating the bite wounds that covered his body while fuel station staff helped care for and feed him.

Thanathip said: 'I came up with the idea to set up a simulated lottery stall. I put a collar on the cat and made him the seller. The tickets are actually old lottery tickets. We put them there just for fun.'

Visitors can try their luck by buying a ticket from Som Bang Chak and drawing the numbers themselves. The proceeds go toward the cat's food expenses.
