Shopping mall uses tunnel for protect singers from fans
A shopping mall used a tunnel to protect singers from overzealous fans.
The local boyband named Proxie was seen being escorted inside the Central West Gate with a movable white canopy in Nonthaburi, Thailand, on February 9.
Footage shows the six preening members inside the tent as they walk towards their supporters, all smiling as they wave at them.
The group was on a shopping mall tour and had to walk inside the building with guards holding the cover to prevent them from being excitedly mobbed by their followers.
Local media reported that it is the mall's policy to utilise any barriers to prevent accidents that may occur due to large crowds.
The filmer said: 'I don't want people to think that fans will rush towards the artists, so they have to protect them. But in this incident, the fans did not obstruct the bodyguards' work or fail to cooperate with the mall.
'Also, the fans were afraid that others would think our artists were arrogant and unapproachable. In reality, the artists were also confused by this incident and wondered why the mall had to block them with a tunnel.'
PROXIE is a six-member Thai boy group formed through the reality show The Brothers: School of Gentlemen. They officially debuted on April 28, 2022, with the digital single Crazy Love.
The group consists of members Gun, Kim, Chokun, Gorn, Onglee, and Victor. Their second single, Silent Mode, released on September 1, 2022, gained significant attention and became a viral hit.
