A bullet train was derailed after hitting landslide debris in southeastern Taiwan.

The high-speed express struck a mound of rocks, causing two axles to go off the tracks in Taitung County on Wednesday.

Footage shows passengers disembarking after the accident disrupted railway services and left the front part of the train damaged.

Taiwan Railway Corporation said there were no injuries, though train travel was temporarily suspended between Guanshan and Taitung stations. The stranded passengers were transferred to buses taking them to their destination.

Services along other parts of the trunk line were unaffected, the company said.
