STORYLINE:
Serbia's Belgrade Philharmonic launched a new season of its popular Baby Concerts on Tuesday, captivating parents and their babies with Beethoven's Symphony No. 1.
Under the baton of Vuk Wolkov-Popovic, the 0-2-year-old young audience experienced a 30-minute symphonic performance in a specially designed musical playroom within the concert hall.
These concerts, featuring two sessions every day, have become a major attraction, drawing families from across Serbia and neighboring countries. Organizers report that the demand for the concerts remains strong. Tickets for shows from Feb. 11 to 14 sold out within hours of their release on Feb. 3.
"We traveled nearly 500 km from Skopje, North Macedonia, just to bring our son to this concert," said Angel, one of the attending parents.
Another visitor, Kristina, described the event as "a wonderful experience," expressing appreciation for such "moments of inspiration and joy."
The Philharmonic has announced two additional baby concert cycles later in the season, scheduled for April 15-17 and May 6-9, 2025.
