A parade and display of dance, fashion, and traditional products marked the start of the annual /Ae //Gams Arts and Cultural Festival to promote cultural diversity in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia.
The two-day festival, a celebration of diversity and unity, is organized by the city of Windhoek. It brings together a rich tapestry of traditional groups, artists, and entrepreneurs, each contributing unique perspectives through traditional dances, fashion, local and international cuisine, and other products.
The event was first hosted in 2001, with its last edition in 2015. The festival was revived in 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic.
