Streets were buried under a thick layer of snow in Toronto, Canada.

Dramatic footage shows a family's yard and sidewalks covered in fresh ice on February 16 as the region deals with its second major snowfall of the week.

The region is bracing for up to 25cm of snow and freezing rain, with Environment and Climate Change Canada issuing a winter storm watch through Sunday.

This follows a previous storm just days earlier that dumped 15cm of snow, causing disruptions across the region.

The storm has caused significant travel disruptions, including delays at Toronto Pearson Airport and weather-related closures across the Greater Toronto Area.

Officials have urged residents to prepare for hazardous travel conditions and limited visibility as crews work to clear the roads.
