US, Los Angeles: East Hollywood LAPD Pursuit of Tesla
Los Angeles, United States - February 22, 2025 02/22/2025 09:40 pm (GMT-0800) EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Division units initiated a pursuit of a white Tesla eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard near Century Park at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities. LAPD officers observed a reckless driver in a Tesla and attempted to pull over the vehicle. When the driver failed to stop, a pursuit ensued. According to an LAPD spokesperson, a spike strip was used to try to stop the car during the approximately 30-minute pursuit. Shortly after 10 p.m., the pursuit ended at Santa Monica Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue, where the 35-year-old male driver was taken into custody and booked for "felony evading," according to the LAPD spokesperson.
