US, Los Angeles: East Hollywood LAPD Pursuit of Tesla Termination Part 2
Los Angeles, United States - February 22, 2025 02/22/2025 10:31 pm (GMT-0800) EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The KNN video shows the termination of the LAPD West Los Angeles pursuit at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue. The Los Angeles Police Department's West Los Angeles Division units initiated a pursuit of a white Tesla eastbound on Santa Monica Boulevard near Century Park at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, according to authorities. LAPD officers observed a reckless driver in a Tesla and attempted to pull over the vehicle. When the driver failed to stop, a pursuit ensued. According to an LAPD spokesperson, a spike strip was used during the pursuit at one point. Shortly after 10 p.m., the pursuit ended at Santa Monica Boulevard and Mariposa Avenue, where the 35-year-old male driver was taken into custody and booked for "felony evading," according to the LAPD spokesperson.
