The HMS Prince of Wales was spotted leaving its homebase to prepare for its deployment to the Indo-Pacific region later this year.

At approximately 9:30 am this morning (Feb 24), the Royal Navy flagship was seen leaving its station in Portsmouth.

The 65,000 tonne aircraft carrier set off for pre-deployment training to prepare for the Carrier Strike Group 25.

The deployment aims to strengthen military and diplomatic ties with Japan and other nations in the region, contributing to the UK's commitment to upholding security and stability in the Indo-Pacific area.
