A British teen who was once the best junior kickboxer in the world has turned into a professional boxer - and wants to become an "undisputed" champ."

Tiah-Mai Ayton took up kickboxing and Muay Thai at the age of six after her parents noticed she enjoyed play fighting with her little sister.

At the age of 10 the determined fighter became a World Champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai.

As a amateur boxer she has scooped five national titles and went on to claim gold in the 57kg weight category at the World Championships in Colorado, USA in November.

But now at the age of 18 after collecting many titles and belts Tiah said 'no more kicks' as she entered the professional boxing business.

She was even invited to be part of Team GB Olympic boxing squad but decided to turn professional instead.

Tiah from Bristol said: "I just want to become an undisputed world champion - and going pro is the best way to do it."

"Everyone dreams to do something in their sport that they have done since young. I train hard and I never give up and now I am where I want to be."

"My ambition is to inspire younger girls in boxing and show people that girls are just as good as men."

Tiah who impressed her coaches from a young age said the journey to become a professional has been a "hard one"."

But her parents who saw her talent from a young age are delighted with her progression.

She said: "I'm constantly just training all the time - I have to sacrifice a lot in life. "

"I don't go out with my friends, but other than that training is good I just keep improving and getting better."

"My parents are so happy for me because I have been doing it for such a young age"

- this is all they have ever dreamed off.

"They are just happy and supporting me which is good."

"I come from a big family. I have eight siblings - there is so many of us. I train and I look after my family. "

"I am the oldest. If my sister's would get into an argument they would be like 'my sister is a boxer' and I would just hide - I'm not into arguing I am just quiet."

Despite doing one year of college, she dropped out in the first year as she wanted to focus on her boxing career.

She said: "I just thought if I wanted to proceed in my dreams of being a professional athlete you can't do both. "

"You just got to put all the time into one so I just put all my time into boxing - thankfully it has worked out."

"Everyone dreams to do something in their sport that they have done since young. I train hard and I never give up and now I am where I want to be."

The undefeated teenager has put pen to paper on a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing.

The girl who attends Western Warriors gym in Western-Super-Mare is currently training for her debut professional fight which is planned to go ahead in July.

She said: "I train two to three times a day, expect for Sundays where I have my day off."

"I sparred the former world champion Skye Nicolson. It was so nice, she is a very good boxer."

She hopes that her career will inspire more women to join boxing and make people realise the sport is for everyone.

Tiah added: "I think watching girls fighting is more brutal than men. Women just get in there and they just fight. Boxing is not just for men - it is for women too."

"I want all the world titles - in pros that is four world titles - hopefully I can win all of them at my weight category and hopefully weight categories above me."

"I have got big goals and people think it is impossible but I think I can do it."
