Phoenix, United States - February 27, 2025 02/27/2025 01:00 am (GMT-0700) PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a structure on fire near the 2300 block of West Devonshire Avenue around 1:00 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke billowing from a large storage building located on the north side of an apartment complex. The assignment was upgraded to working fire, drawing additional resources to the scene. Crews utilized saws to cut open a set of large rollup doors on the north face of the structure. Handlines were deployed into the building's interior, allowing crews to quickly achieve knockdown on the main body of fire. A ladder was deployed to the structure's roof, allowing firefighters to extinguish isolated hotspots. Phoenix FD investigators are working to determine the fire's source of origin. The structure was not occupied at the time of the fire.
