This is the amusing moment a pet raccoon checked its owner's teeth like a dentist.

Footage shows the raccoon sitting above its keeper, who is lying in bed in Chonburi, Thailand, on December 22.

It can be seen touching the man's teeth, appearing to investigate his mouth, resembling a doctor examining a patient.

The owner played along by turning on a flashlight and widely opening his mouth as if he were at a real dental check-up.

Moments later, the animal stuck its nose inside and even licked his lip, sparking laughter from the man and his girlfriend, who was recording them.

The pet owner said: 'My partner and I have been raising the raccoon at home since it was little, making us very close and familiar with each other.'

Raccoons love to explore their surroundings and are known for their dexterous paws, which they use to investigate objects, open containers, and even turn on faucets. They enjoy playing with toys, especially ones that challenge their problem-solving skills.
