A powerful blizzard swept through Nebraska, bringing driving winds that reduced visibility and made travel hazardous.

The extreme weather phenomenon hit Lincoln on Tuesday, March 4.

Footage taken by Jen Bauer near Aksarben Village in Omaha shows blinding snow and rapidly shifting gusts.

Jen described visibility dropping to less than a city block as winds reached 65 miles per hour.

The National Weather Service issued high wind advisories, warning of dangerous travel conditions.

Authorities said: 'Continued strong winds and snowfall are creating hazardous conditions across the region tonight.'

Residents are urged to stay off the roads as the storm continues to affect the area.
