This is the moment a magnitude 5.9 earthquake rattled a home in Taiwan.

Video shows the tremors shaking picture frames and glass doors in the house in Changhua, on June 11.

The United States Geological Survey said the offshore quake struck 71 kilometres south of Hualien at 7 pm local time. It was 31 kilometres deep and was felt across Taiwan, including the capital Taipei were buildings reportedly shook.

There were no reports of severe damage or casualties.

Taiwan is prone to earthquake as it lies at the boundary of two tectonic plates along the Pacific Ring of Fire, the world's most seismologically active region.
