Gas leak explosions blows up house and covers woman in debris
A gas leak explosion blew up a house and covered a woman walking outside with debris.
The incident occurred on Oktyabrskaya Street in Tobolsk, Tyumen Oblast, Russia, on Wednesday, March 12.
CCTV footage shows the moment the house exploded due to the gas leak. A huge flame can be seen rising into the air as the roof is apparently blown off.
The detonation set off alarms on nearby cars, with some passers-by approaching the property to check if anyone was injured.
Another clip from a different angle shows the moment the house exploded as the woman walked nearby, covering her instantly in debris and metal sheet panels.
She was also nearly run over by a reversing car whose driver appeared eager to leave the area. She shakily gets back to her feet before the clip ends.
Reports indicated that the woman and a child inside the house were injured.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Tyumen Region has opened a criminal investigation into the violation of fire safety regulations.
Investigators and forensic experts are studying the scene.
